Please note that Purple House Press does not accept manuscripts for new books, there are too many old ones out there we want to save! If unsolicited manuscripts or previously published childrens books are submitted for consideration we will not able to return them.

Jill Morgan

Jill started Purple House Press in the year 2000. In a previous life (or so it seems!) she was a software engineer for 13 years. When her children were little she began selling out-of-print children's books. But when the price of her favorite childhood book, Mr. Pine's Purple House, rose to the discouraging price of $300, she decided to do something about it by republishing the story and ensuring its message would not be lost to future generations.

In June, 2003, Jill and her husband, Ray Sanders, located their family, company and animals from a suburb of Ft. Worth, Texas to Cynthiana, Kentucky wanting to be closer to family and live the country life they had always dreamed of. They have three grown children and live on an old dairy farm with lots of dogs, cats, chickens and computers. A few horses live in their backyard, which was also a childhood dream. Childrens books have made all of this possible.

Ray Sanders

Ray is Director of Operations, he does all of the accounting, invoicing, shipping, organizing and everything else that is not related to book design, production or working with our authors!

Prior to working at Purple House Press, Ray was a Test Engineering Manager with Motorola and worked in the electrical engineering field for nearly thirty years.
